History

Since 2023

In 2023, Sorry Not Public began as a clothing store called Texture & Curiosity. The store was located on the second floor of a building with no traditional foot traffic, making it difficult for the public to discover or access. That challenge ultimately inspired a new identity: Sorry Not Public.

The name reflected the reality of the space—it wasn’t easily accessible to the public—but almost immediately, it began to represent something much bigger. What started as a clothing store naturally evolved into a private members club offering coworking space, a gym, and a place where young founders, creatives, and startup companies could meet, work, and build relationships. There was no master plan for it to become a community; the name, the space, and the people created that organically.

Within its first year, Sorry Not Public grew to more than 1,000 members, driven primarily by word of mouth rather than traditional advertising.

By the end of 2024, the company made the decision to shut down the original concept and rethink what Sorry Not Public could become. The team saw how quickly technology was evolving, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence, and recognized an opportunity to build something much larger than a physical members club.

The vision shifted toward creating technology that could bridge the gap between the online and real world—bringing together digital tools, AI, community, and real-life experiences into one connected ecosystem.
